A.     Resolution in support of the John H. Chafee Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor Commission Reauthorization.

V.                 Minutes:

A.     Move that the minutes of the January 3^rd, 2006 Town Council meeting and closed session be approved, as recorded, and that the closed minutes be sealed.

VI.               Old Business:

A.     Consider approving a new Pool Table License and a new Entertainment License for Cat-Beau Inc. d/b/a “Tickers Sports Grille”, 45 Cedar Swamp Road, pending compliance with all state regulations and local ordinances.

B.     Consider rendering decision on Crown Properties Zone Change Petition.

VII.              Licenses and Permits:

A.     Consider approving renewal of a Peddler’s License for N.E. Frozen Lemonade d/b/a “New England Frozen Lemonade”, to sell lemonade from a truck in the Town of Smithfield, pending compliance with all state regulations and local ordinances.

B.     Consider approving renewal of a Victualling License for Robert Loisel d/b/a “Star’s Catering”, 500 George Washington Highway, pending compliance with all state regulations and local ordinances.

VIII.            Public Hearings:

A.     Conduct a Public Hearing to consider approving renewal of a Class-B Victualler Beverage License for Pleasant View Inn, Pleasant View Avenue, pending compliance with all state regulations and local ordinances.

B.     Conduct a Public Hearing to consider a zone change for Plat 48, Lots 9, 10 and 11 and Plat 49, Lot 95 Hanton City Road from Planned Corporate District and R-80 District to R-20M District.

IX.               Public Comment:    None

X.                 New Business:

A.     Consider a request from the Smithfield Conservation Commission to support their recommendation, regarding Wetland Application 04-0420, Plat 50, Lot 77 – Burlingame Road.

B.     Consider scheduling a Public Hearing on March 7^th, 2006 to consider a zone change from mixed use to planned development for Plat 43, Lots 10, 148,149 and 150, Putnam Pike.

C.    Consider accepting a land donation from the Glaser Estate.

D.    Consider authorizing the solicitation of engineering proposals for a sewer extension on Peach Blossom Lane.

E.     Consider approving the FY 2004-05 Audit Report from the firm of Cayer Caccia, LLP.

F.     Consider a bid award for the Town of Smithfield and the Smithfield School Department for the FY 2005-06 Annual Audit.

G.    Consider authorizing a temporary note from Citizens Bank for a Land Trust purchase.

H.     Consider approving abatements and addenda, as recommended by the Tax Assessor.

I.         Consider possible appointments to boards or commissions.

J.      Consider a possible motion to go into closed session pursuant to Sections 42-46-5(a)(5), real estate, 42-46-5(a)(1), personnel, and 42-46-5(a)(2) collective bargaining and litigation of the RI General Laws.

K.     Reconvene in open session, if necessary, to announce any closed session votes required to be disclosed pursuant to RI General Laws, Sec. 42-46-4.
