A.     Consider adopting a Resolution supporting relocation of the Rhode Island Department of Transportation’s Salt Barn.

B.     Consider adopting a Resolution supporting “An Act authorizing the Town of Smithfield to issue, not exceeding $1,000,000, general Obligation Bonds or Notes for Land Acquisition.”

V.                 Minutes:

A.     Move that the February 21st, 2006, Town Council meeting open and closed session minutes be approved, as recorded, and that the closed minutes be sealed.

VI.               Licenses and Permits:

A.     Consider approving the renewal of a Weapons License for Joseph F. Schiavulli, 60 Greenlake Drive, pending compliance with all federal and state regulations, and local ordinances.

VII.              Public Hearings:

A.     Conduct a Public Hearing to consider the transfer of a B-Victualler Beverage License (to include outdoor bar service) from Edmund Nasr, d/b/a “Trio Café”, 5 Sanderson Road to Todd Pezzi, pending compliance with all state regulations and local ordinances.

B.     Conduct a Public Hearing to consider a new Entertainment License for Todd Pezzi d/b/a “Trio Café”, 5 Sanderson Road, pending compliance with all state regulations and local ordinances.

C.    Conduct a Public Hearing to consider an application for a Class B-Victualler Beverage License (to include outdoor seating and bar service) for William Gowen, d/b/a “Effin’s Pub & Grill”, 325 Farnum Pike, pending compliance with all state regulations and local ordinances.

D.    Conduct a Public Hearing to consider a new Entertainment, Special Dance, Pool Table and Arcade License for William Gowen d/b/a Effin’s Pub & Grill”, 325 Farnum Pike, pending compliance with all state regulations and local ordinances.

E.     Conduct a Public Hearing to consider a Zoning Amendment to provide for Conservation Development.

F.     Conduct a Public Hearing to consider an amendment to the Smithfield Zoning Ordinance for a zone change from mixed use to planned development for 468 Putnam Pike (Plat 43, Lot 10), 488 Putnam Pike (Plat 43, Lot 148), 480 Putnam Pike ( Plat 43, Lot 149), and 472 Putnam Pike (Plat 43, Lot 150).

VIII.            Old Business:

A.     Consider authorizing the signing of a bargain and sale deed to correct the Real Estate Records, concerning certain property on Putnam Pike, designated as Plat 43, Lot 10.

IX.               New Business:

A.     Consider requiring a bond to install two, 500-gallon, above ground, fuel storage tanks at 34 Appian Way, or the waiver thereof.

B.     Consider approving a bid award for the design of sanitary engineering services on Peach Blossom Lane.

C.    Consider scheduling a Public Hearing on March 21st, 2006 to consider an ordinance which would transfer ownership of the Smithfield Exchange Bank/Waterman Tavern to the Smithfield Preservation Society.

D.    Consider approving a service agreement between ACS State and Local Solutions, Inc., and the Town of Smithfield for land recording services in the amount of $39,300, per year, for the next five years.

E.     Consider approving abatements and addenda, as recommended by the Tax Assessor.

F.     Consider possible appointments to boards or commissions.

G.    Consider a possible motion to go into closed session pursuant to Sections 42-46-5(a)(5), real estate, 42-46-5(a)(1), personnel, and 42-46-5(a)(2) collective bargaining and litigation of the RI General Laws.

H.     Reconvene in open session, if necessary, to announce any closed session votes required to be disclosed pursuant to RI General Laws, Sec. 42-46-4.
