A.     Move that the April 11, 2006, Town Council Budget meeting minutes be approved, as recorded.

B.     Move that the May 2, 2006, Town Council meeting open and closed session minutes be approved, as recorded, and that the closed minutes be sealed.

VI.               Licenses and Permits:

1.      Consider approving a new Victualling License for Kevin McDaniel,
d/b/a “Dear Hearts Ice Cream”, 265 Putnam Pike, pending compliance with all state regulations, local ordinances and final Health Department approval.

2.      Consider approving a new Holiday License for Stan Ciomber, d/b/a “Lapels Dry Cleaning”, 570 Putnam Pike, Unit #4, pending compliance with all state regulations and local ordinances. 

3.      Consider approving a Special Event License for Bounthanh Prasavath, d/b/a “Watlao Buddhovath of Rhode Island”, 88 Limerock Road pending compliance with all state regulations, local ordinances and restrictions set forth in an Agreement with the Smithfield Police Department.

4.      Consider approving two (1-day Beer and Wine Licenses for the Laotion Community Center, 88 Limerock Road, Smithfield, pending compliance with all state regulations and local ordinances.

5.      Consider approving the renewal of a Peddlers License for Marshall Gorden d/b/a “Wolfe Novelties”, to sell balloons and souvenirs, pending compliance with all state regulations and local ordinances.

6.      Consider approving the renewal of Bingo License for the Esmond Village Tenants’ Association and the Smithfield Senior Center, pending compliance with all state regulations and local ordinances.

7.      Consider approving a new Victualling License and new Holiday Sales License for Victoria A. Johnson, d/b/a “What’s the Scoop”, 61 Douglas Pike, pending compliance with all state regulations, local ordinances and final Health Department approval.

8.      Consider approving the renewal of the following Holiday Licenses, pending compliance with all state regulations and local ordinances:

IX.               New Business:

A.     Consider approving bid awards received by the Department of Public Works for Crack Sealing and Bituminous Concrete Material for FY 2006-07.

B.     Consider authorizing the Department of Public Works to re-solicit bids for Roadway Rehabilitation for FY 2006-07.

C.    Consider scheduling a Public Hearing for July 11, 2006, to consider a zoning amendment from R-80 and R-Medium to R-20M for 300 Stillwater Road (Plat 20, Lot 2 and Plat 46, Lot 108).

D.    Discuss with the School Department a possible future school construction project and consider submitting legislation scheduling a bond referendum for the project.

E.     Consider approving abatements and addenda, as recommended by the Tax Assessor. 

F.     Consider possible appointments to boards or commissions.

G.     Consider a possible motion to go into closed session pursuant to Sections 42-46-5(a)(5), real estate, 42-46-5(a)(1), personnel, and 42-46-5(a)(2) collective bargaining and litigation of the RI General Laws.

H.     Reconvene in open session, if necessary, to announce any closed session votes required to be disclosed pursuant to RI General Laws, Sec. 42-46-4.
