A.     Move that the minutes of the January 25, 2007 Town Council and School Committee Work Session be approved, as recorded.

B.     Move that the minutes of the February 20, 2007 Town Council meeting and closed session be approved, as recorded, and that the closed minutes be sealed.

VI.               Licenses and Permits: To consider and act upon the following matters:

A.     Consider approving the renewal of the following four (4) Weapons Licenses, pending compliance with all state regulations and local ordinances:

1.      James M. Anderson, d/b/a “Jim Anderson Gun Shop”, 350 Douglas Pike.

2.      Leon W. Collins, d/b/a “Collins Gun Shop”, 23 Sebille Road.

3.      Joseph F. Schiavulli, 60 Greenlake Drive.

4.      Joseph S. Buban, Jr., d/b/a “Sportsman’s Supply”, 22 Williams Road.

B.     Consider approving a Special Event License for the Smithfield Lions Club to hold a Pig Roast on the grounds of the Portuguese American Club, 32 Fenwood Avenue on June 27, 2007, pending compliance with all state regulations and local ordinances.    

VII.             Public Hearings:  To consider and act upon the following matters:  None

VIII.            Old Business:  To consider and act upon the following matters:

A.     Consider supporting a resolution regarding the Clean Elections Act.

B.     Consider authorizing the release of escrowed funds to the Slacks Pond Reservoir Association as it relates to repair of dam.

C.    Consider authorizing an amendment to the zoning designation of Plat 20, Lot 22 from R-Medium to R-20M and Plat 46, Lot 108 from R-80 to R-20M subject to conditions and restrictions. 

IX.               New Business:  To consider and act upon the following matters:

A.     Consider authorizing the Smithfield Police Department to re-solicit bids for Local Area Network Infrastructure and Hardware Upgrades funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Community-Oriented Policing.

B.     Consider authorizing bid award for Scott Health and Safety Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus for the Smithfield Fire Department.

C.    Consider authorizing the purchase of a Thermal Imaging Camera for the Smithfield Fire Department.

D.    Consider approving abatements and addenda, as recommended by the Tax Assessor:  None

E.     Consider possible appointments to boards or commissions.
