A.     Move that the minutes of the May 1, 2007 Town Council meeting be approved, as recorded.

VI.               Licenses and Permits: To consider and act upon the following matters:      

A.      Consider approving the renewal of the following Peddlers Licenses, pending compliance with all state regulations and local ordinances:

1.      Stephanie Mosca, d/b/a “A & W, 460 Putnam Pike.

2.      Pier Five Services, d/b/a “Sebastian’s Catering”, 100 Salem Street.

B.     Consider approving the renewal of a Holiday License for Greenville Antique Center, 711 Putnam Pike, pending compliance with all state regulations and local ordinances.

VII.              Public Hearings:  To consider and act upon the following matters:

A.     Conduct a Public Hearing on an application for a Class B-Victualler Beverage License for Isabel C. Juan/Rangoon LLC d/b/a “Rangoon Chinese & Japanese Restaurant”, 294 Waterman Avenue, pending compliance with all state regulations and local ordinances and subject to final approval from the Building Official and the RI Health Department.

VIII.            Old Business:  To consider and act upon the following matters:   NONE

IX.                New Business:  To consider and act upon the following matters:

A.     Consider a request that the State of Rhode Island Auditor General perform audit services in the Town of Smithfield effective immediately.

B.     Consider a recommendation to RI DEM on Wetland Application No. 06-0086.

C.    Consider authorizing a request for a Liability Waiver for Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc., File No. 06-061.

D.    Update on Waterman Tavern by the Smithfield Preservation Society.

E.     To consider and act upon a Claim filed by Vincent Muratore.

F.     Consider authorizing an RFP for Concession Services for the Smithfield Municipal Ice Rink.

G.    Consider authorizing the Smithfield Director of Public Works to solicit three (3) bids for Cracksealing, Full-Depth Reclamation and Road Rehabilitation.

H.     Consider approving abatements and addenda as recommended by Tax Assessor:  NONE

I.         Consider possible appointments to boards or commissions:

J.      Consider a possible motion to go into closed session pursuant to Sections 42-46-5(a)(5), real estate, 42-46-5(a)(1), personnel, 42-46-5(a)(2), collective bargaining and litigation and 42-46-5(a)(3), security, of the RI General Laws.

K.     Reconvene in open session, if necessary, to announce any closed session votes required to be disclosed pursuant to RI General Laws, Sec. 42-46-4.
