10, 2007 Financial Town meeting be approved, as recorded.

Move that the minutes of the June
5, 2007 Town Council closed session be approved, as recorded and that these
minutes be sealed.
D.
Move that the minutes of the June
19, 2007 Town Council meeting and closed session be approved, as recorded and
that the closed session minutes be sealed.
VIII.
Licenses and Permits: To consider and act upon the following
matters:
A.
Consider approving
a Special Event License for Bounthanh Prasavath d/b/a
“Watlao Buddhovath of Rhode Island, Inc.”, 88 Limerock Road, for an event that
will take place at the Buddhist Temple, 88 Limerock Road on July 28-29, 2007,
pending compliance with all state regulations and local ordinances and
restrictions set forth through an agreement with the Smithfield Police
Department, except as it relates to the sale of alcohol.
B.
Consider approving Two (2) 1-Day Beer and Wine Licenses for Thongkhoun
Pathana d/b/a “Laotian Community Center of Rhode Island, Inc.”, 88 Limerock Road
for an event to take place at the Buddist Temple on July 28-29, 2007, pending
compliance with all state regulations and local ordinances and restrictions set
forth through an agreement between the Laotian Community Center and the Town of
Smithfield
C.
Move the approval of a 1-day Beer
& Wine License for Bryant University for 1150 Douglas Pike, for the Homecoming
and Reunion to be held on the Bryant University Campus on September
29, 2007 from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, pending compliance with all state
regulations and local ordinances.
D.
Move to approve the renewal of a Massage Establishment License for
Natalie Amore d/b/a “About Face Esthetics, Inc.”, 600 Putnam Pike, Greenville,
RI, to operate an establisment within the town where Therapeutic Massage is
administered by a licensed Massage Therapist, pending compliance with all state
regulations and local ordinances.
E.
Move to approve the renewal of a Massage Therapist License for Lisa Ivens
of 881 Danielson Pike, CT, a licensed Massage Therapist to administer
Therapeutic Massage at “About Face Esthetics, Inc.”, a licensed salon located
at 600 Putnam Pike, Greenville, RI, pending compliance with all state
regulations and local ordinances.

Hearings: To consider and act upon the following matters:
A.
Conduct a Show Cause Hearing
before the Smithfield Town Council, acting as the Board of License
Commissioners, to hear alleged liquor law violations at Effin’s Pub, Farnum
Pike, Smithfield.
B.
Conduct a Show Cause Hearing
before the Smithfield Town Council, acting as the Board of License
Commissioners, to hear alleged liquor law violations at Parente’s Restaurant,
Douglas Pike, Smithfield.

Sewer Extension.
