A.   Move that a date correction within the February 20, 2007 Town Council meeting minutes be approved.

B.   Move that the minutes of the September 4, 2007 Town Council meeting and closed session be approved, as recorded and that the closed session minutes be sealed.

VI.   Licenses and Permits: To consider and act upon the following matters:        

A.  Consider approving a  Victualling License for Christopher and Nadine Arcuri d/b/a “Light the Way Café” to be located at 115 Pleasant View Avenue, to include approval for BYOB (Bring your own bottle) pending compliance with all state and local ordinances and final approval from the Health Department and Building Official.

B.  Consider the approval of a new Victualling License for Stephen Palazzo d/b/a "Cagney Food Service" to operate the Snack Bar Concession at the Smithfield Ice Rink, 109 Pleasant View Avenue, pending compliance with all state regulations and local ordinances and final Health Department approval. 

VII.    Public Hearings:  To consider and act upon the following matters:  

A.   Conduct a Public Hearing to consider amendments to Chapter 122, Amusements, Coin-Operated, of the  Smithfield Code of Ordinances § 122-2. Definitions (Arcade);  § 122-5 Arcade License required;  § 122-8. Denial of License ( C ) and (H);  § 122-9 Grant of License and § 122-11.  License for business with one device, and  § 122-11 (G).

VIII.   Old Business:  To consider and act upon the following matters:  

A.  Consider appointing an independent person or firm to conduct an investigation of Town Council President with regard to charter violations.

B.  Consider appointing a search committee for the vacant Town Manager position.

IX.     New Business:  To consider and act upon the following matters:

A.  Consider discussion of an introduction of an exemption review by the Tax Assessor.

B.  Consider acting upon the Town’s preemptive right to purchase surplus state land.

C.  Consider authorizing a bid award for renovations at the Smithfield Fire Department stations.

D.  Consider scheduling a Public Hearing on the CIP Document.

E.  Consider scheduling a Public Hearing for issuance of Revenue Bond Ordinance.
