Smithfield Conservation Commission Annual Tree Day
Spring is just around the corner! Please join the Smithfield Conservation Commission as we celebrate spring with our annual tree sale. This year’s sale will be May 3, 2008 at the Pavilion at Deerfield Park. The event starts at 10:00 and will run until 1:00. No early birds please!
Each year the commission allocates a portion of their budget for town beautification and this year we will offer two of the resident’s favorite plants, flowering varieties of hydrangea and weigela plants. The cost is $5.00 per pair and the sale is limited to Smithfield residents only. The Commission will also be offering ten free evergreen seedlings first come, first served.
As in the past there will be information tables to include the Smithfield Land Trust and other environmental organizations.
We hope to see you on Saturday, May 3, 2008.

For the purpose of conducting the annual Financial Town Meeting for the approval of the proposed fiscal year 2008-2009 Budget. Members of the public are encouraged to attend, and voting residents are asked to sit in the reserved middle section of the School Auditorium. Copies of the proposed budget will be made available at the meeting, and are available at the Town Hall for inspection.
Individuals requesting interpreter services for the hearing impaired must notify the Town Manager at 233-1010 one week prior to the hearing date.
