Are you frying your Thanksgiving Turkey? 
Recycle the oil!
 

If you live in the Town of Smithfield and are planning to fry your Thanksgiving bird, hang on to that cooking oil!  Smithfield will be collecting cooking oil for recycling on Saturday, January 16, 2010 from 9am until 1pm at the Smithfield Public Works Garage (3 Spragueville Road – behind Dave’s Towing Service). 

All cooking oil will be recycled by Newport Biodiesel into a fuel that can be used by both diesel vehicles and by oil based home heating systems. 

Please note: This is a one day event. 
Cooking oil cannot be dropped of at any other time.
