General Information
In 2006, The Town of Smithfield hired Applied
Geographics to conduct a GIS Needs Assessment and
develop a multi-year GIS implementation plan for the
Town. Out of this assessment, the highest
priorities in Smithfield were determined to be the
updating of our current format to a Geodatabase
format and developing a web-based GIS application to
meet the needs of the Town.
The database has been
updated, and now the Town of Smithfield is pleased
to launch its new web-based application hosted by
Applied Geographics. This application will allow a
broad audience access to view data, maps, and
tools. It is a user friendly site and our hope is
that it will be widely used and eventually fully
integrated with daily functions in all Town
Departments.
Abutters
Lists
Abutters lists can now be produced online and are
acceptable for Town departments that require them.
Building & Zoning requires 3 sets of labels with any
of their applications. These mailing labels
can also be produced online for your convenience at
no charge.
Plat
Maps Plat Maps are
available to view or download in .pdf format and can be printed
on standard 8½x11" paper.
Please select your
plat map from the drop-down list below.
If
you do not know your plat number, you can locate it
using the following steps:
Use the web-based application to locate your
property.
Link
Click on the link for your property address that
appears in the results
On the resulting screen, locate the Prop ID
field (top, right area of screen)
The Prop ID number will look something like
this: Prop ID 67C - 26
In this case, 67C is the plat number (the first
characters before the dash)
