Spring is just around the corner! Please join the Smithfield Conservation Commission as we celebrate spring with our Annual Tree Sale.

This year’s sale will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at the Pavilion at Deerfield Park. The event starts at 10:00 A.M. and will run until 1:00 P.M. or while supplies last. No early birds please.

Each year the Smithfield Conservation Commission allocates a portion of their budget for Town beautification. This year we will offer two of the Town residents’ favorite plants, flowering varieties of hydrangea and prunus plants. The cost is $5.00 per pair and the sale is limited to Smithfield Residents Only. The Commission will also be offering ten free evergreen seedlings – first come, first served.

As in the past, there will be information tables to include the Smithfield Land Trust and other environmental organizations.
