Employment Opportunity: Temporary Summer Help

LIFEGUARDS – Must be non- surf certified and have valid CPR & first aid cards at time of appointment. Beach hours are 10 am – 6 pm, seven days a week from mid -June to Labor Day. A rotating schedule is used. Rate $16/hr. Must possess a valid driver’s license. If you need training- the Smithfield YMCA conducts training. Students completing the lifeguard training program are eligible to apply to the Town of Smithfield beaches and /or YMCA for spring & summer employment. Call Jennifer at the YMCA- 949-2480 ext. 106 for more information on lifeguard training.

GATE GUARD – Ability to maintain Town beach & facilities; enforce beach passes & stickers. Must possess a valid driver’s license.

SUPERVISOR – Must possess a H.S. Diploma or G.E.D.; a valid driver’s license; ability to supervise staff and maintain operation of summer programs.
