Dispatcher – Smithfield Police Department: Part-time, 3rd shift, Saturday & Sunday, 12:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. Approximately 15 hours per week, no benefits. Responsibilities include receiving citizens’ requests for assistance, providing dispatch services, deployment of police personnel/equipment, and other job related duties. Ability to work under stressful conditions with excellent verbal/written skills. Require a high school diploma or GED, Microsoft Windows proficiency and typing skills. Experience preferred. $22.00 per hour, plus a $.75 per hour, 3rd shift differential. Seasonal Laborer – Landscaping, Grounds & Maintenance: Commercial landscaping experience preferred. Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D.; be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license. Ability to work Mon – Fri from 7 am – 3:30 pm (May– December weather permitting.) Responsibilities include basic mechanical ability; operating equipment & performing manual labor (i.e. grass cutting, lining fields, irrigation, pruning, weeding, cleaning, painting, etc.) Experience operating zero turn mowers, grass trimmers, blowers and chainsaws preferred. Rate is $14.00 – $16.00 per hour depending on qualifications. No benefits.
