Scrap metals cannot be placed in curbside recycling. The only metals that are accepted in curbside recycling carts are metal cans, metal lids and foil.
- Scrap metal can be accepted, by appointment only, at Smithfield DPW. Please call 401-233-1034 X105 to see if your item qualifies and to schedule an appointment for drop-off.
- Large metals such as appliances, grills and exercise equipment are eligible for curbside pick-up. Please contact Waste Management at 1-800-972-4545 to schedule a pick-up.
