COVID-19 Vaccine

The State of Rhode Island receives a limited number of COVID-19 Vaccine doses on a weekly basis. These doses are distributed to the 39 communities to be administered to populations designated by the Rhode Island Department of Health. By mid-February, we anticipate a steadier stream of limited vaccine. We will distribute this vaccine to residents 75 and over by appointment.

The Town of Smithfield is committed to vaccinating the entire population and will follow all requirements set forth by the Department of Health and federal officials. We anticipate this process to take a while, however, the process of vaccinating the public has started and we will continue until we meet the vaccination needs of the residents of our community.

At this time, the Town is vaccinating those residents 75+ years of age and those residents are welcome to contact the Smithfield Senior Center at 949-4590 or the Town Hall at 233-1010 to register for a vaccine. You may also fill out the information in the online form below – this is the same information taken in the phone calls, you will see a confirmation page after hitting the “submit” button so that you know your entry was successful (you will not receive an email confirmation). If you have already called in to register, you do not need to fill out the online form. One (1) entry per person.

All ages 18+ can register, you will be contacted once a vaccine is available in your age group. As additional doses become available, we will update the information on this page.
